Η Kojima Productions ακύρωσε τη συμμετοχή της στο GDC 2020. Η εταιρεία που δημιούργησε το Death Stranding είναι η τελευταία που προστίθεται στον κατάλογο των απουσιών από το φετινό Game Developers Conference (GDC).

Η είδηση ανακοινώθηκε μέσω Twitter, με τους υπεύθυνους της εταιρείας να εκφράζουν φόβο σχετικά με την εξάπλωση του κορονοϊού. Η Kojima Productions είχε προγραμματίσει δυο παρουσιάσεις για το GDC 2020. Η πρώτη ήταν προγραμματισμένη για τις 16 Μαρτίου, με ομιλητή τον AI programmer Eric Johnson και η δεύτερη για τις 19 Μαρτίου, με παρουσιαστή τον Hideo Kojima.
